annie's birthday gift

for annie's birthday, i used my new knitting skills and knitted her wrist warmers and a headband (which lovely claire is modeling). :) they were fun to make!

weekend at the beach

every year primo and i have been together, we've gone to the beach on valentine's day, whether it be just an evening trip for dinner or a weekend spent enjoying the coast. this valentine's day we got to go again and we took some friends with us -- the weidmans! they were a joy to have with us. we all had a great time!

this year we had a small party at my parents' house (sans parents) with a few of our good friends. i really didn't pay much attention to the game at all, or the commercials even! i made a white bean chili with chicken, potato wedges, brownies, and a digiorno pizza. our friends brought homemade strawberry lemonade (YUM), cupcakes, kettle corn, chips, dips, bread, and artichoke dip (i had way too much of that!). needless to say, we had plenty of food.

at one point us girls played clue. it was pretty fun -- it had been years since i played!

nine months!

wow! caleb is 3/4ths of a year old!! unbelievable! one of his favorite things to do lately is pull himself up, mostly on people's legs, but most anything will do. he's sleeping in his crib at nights, but hasn't been feeling well lately, so sleep at night is not the greatest. both mommy and baby have been a little sick this past week -- not fun!
