Christmas festivities!

we had a great and very fun first Christmas with caleb. it all started getting ready for the Christmas Eve service at church........

then after the service, we went to grandpa barry and grandma melissa's house for potato soup and zwiebach. great-grandpa roger and graner were there, along with uncle sam, aunt sue, tara, aaron, aunt annie, aunt katie, and the four kids.

then we went home and opened presents.....caleb didn't have any to open that night, but he had his stocking in the morning!

i made a yummy breakfast of chilaquiles, chorizo and eggs, and refried beans -- YUM.

then it was off to great-grandpa roger and graner's house to celebrate Christmas with the frantz family! caleb cried on the way there.....

caleb's big gift from grandpa and grandma was this awesome wagon! he and archer enjoyed sitting in it, although i never was able to get both of them to look at me.....

we promptly left for the beach after this braun family Christmas. we had a good weekend there, but i forgot my camera! we're looking forward to a great 2010 with our little boy! he seems so much older every day!!

caleb has his first tooth!! it may take a while to get a picture of it...he is very uncooperative when it comes to looking in his mouth. but he has one!! it's so cute.... :)

he's bigger than it! maybe it will get bigger each year as he gets bigger...we'll see. :) he was very intrigued with me putting it together and loved looking at it after i turned on the lights.

7 months

caleb has been in his 7th month for a week now! this past week has been a trying week for us. caleb has GOT to be teething big time. there are many signs that point to it, but no teeth yet to prove it! drooling, loose stools, swollen gums, fussy-fussy-fussiness. i didn't weigh him or measure his length this month. but i have the usual pictures! i think i'm going to need to figure something else out because he just isn't cooperating as well for these pictures these days.......

for caleb's first thanksgiving, we went over to grandpa and grandma braun's house to eat and enjoy the day. aunt annie was there along with uncle ed and aunt katie, claire, bauer, farmer, archer, and grandpa and graner frantz. it was nice and relaxing. caleb enjoyed eating carrots and potatoes very much. claire and annie -- silly like always. :)

the chicago bears came to san francisco...

...and we were there! thursday, november 12, we enjoyed a trip up to san francisco for the day to see the bears play the 49ers. even though the bears didn't win, we had a great time as a family there. it was real cold, but we made sure we were bundled up tight!
