i don't know what they're called, but caleb was intrigued by them. this was during halftime at primo's game in mcfarland against dallas pd.

this year we had a small party at my parents' house (sans parents) with a few of our good friends. i really didn't pay much attention to the game at all, or the commercials even! i made a white bean chili with chicken, potato wedges, brownies, and a digiorno pizza. our friends brought homemade strawberry lemonade (YUM), cupcakes, kettle corn, chips, dips, bread, and artichoke dip (i had way too much of that!). needless to say, we had plenty of food.

at one point us girls played clue. it was pretty fun -- it had been years since i played!

...and we were there! thursday, november 12, we enjoyed a trip up to san francisco for the day to see the bears play the 49ers. even though the bears didn't win, we had a great time as a family there. it was real cold, but we made sure we were bundled up tight!

we are huge football fans in our family and we love the chicago bears. we’re actually going to go to a bears/49ers game in november! for that game, and for the football season in general, we got caleb his first jersey!

he also has this adorable outfit that his grandparents got him for christmas last year (yes, before he was born).

caleb’s cousins had their first soccer game this saturday. my camera never made it out at claire’s game, but i got plenty of pictures at they boys’ game. they all did great!
