walk for life

today our little family walked in the bakersfield pregnancy center’s annual walk for life. i’ve walked in this for the past few years and enjoy it very much. i was so happy to have primo and caleb join me this year. thank you to all who supported the pregnancy center by sponsoring me this year.

lounging

caleb loves to lounge around in his bouncer and in his car seat.

spit up

caleb doesn’t spit up much, but when he does, he can do pretty cool things with it. for example, he can make it go all the way down mommy’s shirt in a nice thin line and then splat on the floor to look like bird poop. cool, huh?

yum yum

a few shots of the first time eating his rice cereal. he was most interested in it the first time...since then, not so much...we try every few days...i think he might just be waiting for the good stuff...like veggies...and fruits...but he has to wait a couple of more months for that.

four months...

caleb had his four month check up today. he was so good for the doctor, even giving him his contagious smile. he definitely cried when he got his shots, but it was short-lived and he was happy very soon after.

here are caleb's four month stats and a few pictures.
weight: 15 lbs. 8 oz. (75th percentile)
length: 27 in. (100th percentile) (wow!) :)
his head was also in the 75th percentile, but i didn't ask how many inches...or i don't remember if she told me............so all in all, he's very healthy and growing nicely. the doctor also said we could start rice cereal...i'll have a separate post for his first time with a spoon and food other than formula...stay tuned. :)

and sneezing.......

"thumb" time

today, for the first time that i saw, caleb was sucking on his thumb. it was really cute, but so that we don't get into the thumb-sucking habit, we promptly removed it...after taking a picture, of course. :)

caleb's first Bible

thank you, aunt sue, for this super fun Jesus storybook Bible! caleb loves it when i read it to him. he talks to the pictures and gets all excited by kicking his legs and waving his arms. it's so cute.
